Grade 5 is enjoying learning the basics about playing a ukulele. We are grateful to have a class set of ukuleles purchased through a grant from our wonderful LES PTA!

Fourth Grade - Recorder Time!
As part of this year’s music curriculum, fourth grade students will learn to play the recorder. Playing the recorder will provide students with the opportunity to apply rhythm and note reading strategies they have learned in class.
Recorders can be purchased for $6.00. This will include a Soprano Recorder, cleaning rod, and a zipper carrying case. Students will also receive a recorder method book. If your child has an older sibling who purchased a recorder when they were in fourth grade, that recorder may be used. Students will be required to bring their recorder to music class.
Please send $6.00 cash or check (payable to Leesville Elementary) by October 11th. Students should give the payment to their classroom teacher. Please email me if you have any questions at [email protected]
